Setting up an email account in Outlook Express
If you have a webspace account, or one of our pop mail packages, you will need to configure your copy of Outlook or Outlook Express, so that you can download your emails from the mail server on to your machine.
Creating a new account

Accounts: To create a new account, click on the Tools menu at the top, and select the Accounts option.

Adding a mail account: On the next screen , click the Add button. A new menu slides out to the right - select Mail... from this.

Internet Connection Wizard: The Internet Connection Wizard should now appear. This will take you through all the stages one at a time. On the first screen, type in the name that you want people to see when you send them an email, then click the Next button
Internet Connection Wizard: Now type in the email address that you want people to use and reply to when they get an email from you, and click the
Next button

Internet Connection Wizard: In the box marked Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server, type in pop3. and then your domain name.
In the box marked Outgoing (SMTP) server, enter the SMTP server of your ISP. Example, if you are dialing up to the internet with BT, then enter smtp.btinternet.com. If you are unsure of what your SMTP server is, then you will need to contact your ISP, or visit their website and check their FAQs or support section

Internet Connection Wizard: Now enter your mailbox account name and password. In the picture above, the mailbox account is the default account that is set up automatically when you ordered your webspace or mail accounts.

Internet Connection Wizard: If you have more than one mailbox set up in your site admin area, then the format will be as in the example above

Internet Connection Wizard: If you have a modem and a network card installed on your PC, then you may see the screen above. Select the method that you use to connect to the internet, and then click the Next button

Internet Connection Wizard: You have now successfully entered all the details your program needs to download your emails from the server. Click the Finish button to end the wizard
