The Process
At easiserv.com we have an orderly business process by which we plan, design, develop and deliver website projects for customers.
- Initiation Stage
If appropriate, a face-to-face meeting is held with you (the prospective customer) either at your location or at the easiserv.com business office in Northampton town centre - completely FREE and without obligation. The purpose of the meeting (or it may just be a telephone conference) is to provide you with enough information to allow you to decide whether you want to go on to the next step with easiserv.com.
- Feasibility Stage
If you decide to go ahead, we'll spend more time on requirements capture before writing an outline specification, cost estimate and agreed delivery date.
- Signing of Agreement
If you decide to proceed with easiserv.com, we require a signed contract detailing the responsibilities of both parties before starting design work. 50% of the agreed cost estimate needs to be paid in advance before design work commences.
- Definition Stage
Any words and graphic content must be gathered before most work can begin on the site. It's useful to remember that a website project does require some work on the customer's part.
- Final Site Design
The look-and-feel and navigability of the site must be agreed and signed-off.
- Page Layouts
Typically, this is an iterative process. The website Home Page look-and-feel and navigation is designed first - then subsequently any other page designs required for the website.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
A draft website based upon the content, needs, and preferences specified will be uploaded to a private easiserv.com web test location where it can be tested by users. These users will of course include easiserv.com and the customer, who can view and (more importantly) test it within their own user / business community to elicit feedback / comment. All user feedback is then co-ordinated and used to produce further drafts as appropriate until a final design is signed off.
- Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT)
The final website is thoroughly tested by easiserv.com on various browsers, different platforms, different browser window sizes and resolution settings, identifying and correcting any errors. At this point the customer will again be invited to participate in reviewing and testing for any minor changes or corrections, resulting in CAT sign-off.
- 'Go Live' and Final Payment
Unless otherwise agreed, payment in full is due and payable at the time when the website is uploaded to the server and is 'live'. Any additional time required for work beyond the scope of the original agreement will result in additional fees, which will be stated in writing.
