EASIserv.com's Head of New Media Design and lifelong Northampton Town fan Neil McDermott has had an article published in national football magazine FourFourTwo.
The article is a preview of the coming Football league season for local League 1 side Northampton Town and it is the second successive season in which he has been asked to record his thoughts.
Neil said "FourFourTwo" is the biggest football magazine in the UK and I have been a reader for many years. I am pleased to have been published in such an excellent magazine and even more so for the topic to be on my beloved Northampton Town. Hopefully my prediction for a play-off push will come true like last year when I said we would get promoted!"
Here's hoping!

End of 2006/07 Season Postscript: For those who take an interest in such things here's what Neil said when he was doing his "mystic meggery" for the 442 article at the start of the season - talk about prescience...see how his forecasts turned out: you'll get the gist of the questions from the answers....
- A lot depends on how many of our out of contract "stars" resign. Realistically consolidation in League One but a sneaky play-off charge may not be out of the question! (consolidation was indeed how it turned out)
- Relegation is a possibility if Gorman takes time to settle. (we were indeed staring down the barrel at relegation until J. Gorman departed by mutual consent mid-season)
- Defensive linchpin Luke Chambers - if he’s still here other wise Aussie superstar Pedj Bojic (Luke Chambers got sold to Forest, Pedj got injured)
- Scott McGleish’s goals were the foundation of our success – can he make the step up? (Scotty didn't so much step-up as step-out - he left mid-season)
- Eoin Jess. Splits the fans but for my money he slows the play down and gets caught in possession too much. (hardly played at all and eventually had his contract cancelled by mutual consent)
- Gorman comes with a good pedigree and will hopefully play more attractive football than Calderwood. (Gorman did play more attractive football than Calderwood, but unfortunately it wasn't also winning football; he had to go)
- Strengthen the midfield and buy a decent target man. (didn't happen at all really)
- Ex manager Calderwood’s Forest. I would love it, just love it! (we lost to Forest home and away - but they lost in the play-offs which means we'll have another chance at him next season)
- Lee Trundle always receives a “warm” reception and any ex-Cobblers – particularly if they move to Forest! (Trundle didn't play home or away)
- Where will you finish - forecast 14th. (Cobbs indeed finished in 14th position - what a result for the great forecaster; pity he didn't have any money on it)
Now what about those lottery numbers, eh?
