EASIserv.com won the Intersoccer Northampton 7-a-side league in Kingsthorpe last night, by virtue of a 5 - 0 victory over Piroto Athletic - thanks to a stellar four goal performance from Steve Jelley.
The team (who had their kit and equipment purchased by EASIserv.com) finished the season on top of the pile, with a record of 19 wins from 22 games and an amazing 58 goals scored while only 8 were conceded - Chelsea eat your heart out!
EASIserv.com's own Neil McDermott featured as player / manager and said, "It's been a tremendous achievement by the lads. Steve Jelley was certainly the star man tonight - but over the season it really has been a terrific team performance from the whole squad, with all the lads deserving immense credit. The football has generally been of a good standard and we have put in some excellent performances to deservedly win the title. I'm just a bit concerned about having the stamina to take the lads out for a celebration night out - which I promised I would do if we won the title. But I'm sure I'll find the strength from somewhere. It's a tough job - but somebody's got to do it."
